The Working Day
Congratulations on a highly successful Working Day! We all appreciated Rosemary Wilson’s hard work in hosting the Working Day at her home and providing not only such a lovely lunch for all of us but lots of tea, coffee, cakes & biscuits to keep us all going!
There was a happy, friendly atmosphere with everyone joining in the activities from cutting stamps, knitting and sewing together blankets and sheets, to assembling some beautiful hand made blankets, cardigans and soft toys etc. into so many baby bundles. It was amazing how much hard work and effort Veronica Malkowski and her helpers put into providing the items to make 50 baby bundles! A considerable amount of pencils, crayons, books, paper and toys etc. was also donated for toy bags.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed towards making the Working Day such an enjoyable yet productive occasion! Let’s hope that the National Police Aid Convoy will deliver all these items to deprived people in Africa, whose lives will really be enhanced by receiving them!
