Twelve members of Mansfield Inner Wheel descended on the District 22 quiz last Wednesday evening, armed with enthusiasm, questionable general knowledge, and the unshakeable belief that this would be our night. Spoiler: it was and it wasn’t.

Our three teams – Dain’s Diamonds, Dain’s Dynamos and Dain’s Dreamers, delivered a performance best described as “varied” — one team stormed to a very respectable 5th place, another flew the flag in 11th, and our third… well, 17th place is still a placing, and we’re choosing to see it as a triumph of participation over perfection. 🤣🤣

A brilliant, laughter-filled evening was had by all, and we left with our dignity mostly intact, a few new quiz facts rattling around our heads, and absolutely no regrets.

Watch out District 22 — we’ll be back, and we’ve already started revising!
