At our May meeting Scott from Linney Regenerate, gave a talk about the scheme.

Rather than sending unwanted materials to landfill, Regenerate gives new life to everything from paper and plastic to hardware and machinery.  Used equipment, surplus stock and promotional items are resold through online marketplaces and charity raffles, raising funds for local community groups and charities.

Scott brought along some wonderful examples of the items created through the scheme, giving members a real sense of the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into turning would-be waste into something beautiful and useful.

Their ultimate ambition is zero waste to landfill — a goal that shows just how much a forward-thinking local business can achieve when sustainability is built into everything it does.
